RAKIJADA – Distillated Village Tales

An Asterix and Obelix saga from the heart of Serbia:
Pranjani is the name of a small village in central Serbia, the inhabitants are farmers or guest workers abroad. So far everything is normal. But every May the village turns upside down when the Rakijada takes place – a drinking competition, coupled with skill exercises and the question of the best plum brandy, the Rakija.
The film is a portrait of this sleepy little Chetnik village and sheds light on the Serbian soul and the typical Balkan humor.
